Plot[]
An aspiring actress named Olivia, who runs a thrift store and has been taking care of her two brothers since the passing of their parents in a car accident, lands a leading role in an upcoming romantic comedy. As part of a five-year plan to have a better life for her and her brothers, she begins to date the lead actor Colin though his bodyguard, Henry, makes it clear to her at a restaurant that he doesn't trust her and is only looking out for the well-being of his friend as he feels Olivia is just using Colin for his money and fame. Olivia lies on the date and claims that she owns a fancy pet boutique but Henry digs into information and learns about the thrift store. Colin, frustrated with her lies after she comes clean about everything and the image that he's now dating a poor girl, storms out of the thrift store as Henry stays behind to help Olivia pick up comic books that Colin knocked over on his way out, sympathizing with her situation as he knows how it is to help family and to be struggling. Henry disagrees with her five-year plan, saying that maybe there's a different plan in store for her.
The next day on set, the director tells Colin and Olivia that they've had a lot of buzz surrounding their date and the thrift store, causing Colin to change his mind and keep dating Olivia for the publicity. Colin, however, shows her no care and compassion though Henry is always there to help her and even ends up bonding with her brothers. Over time, Henry and Olivia begin to develop feelings for one another. Olivia learns that Colin fired Henry and his mom after Henry confessed his feelings. Olivia confesses that she likes Henry as well and breaks things off with Colin, Colin revealing that he viewed Henry as nothing more than a servant and not as a friend despite Henry seeing him as such. Olivia goes to visit Henry where they confess their feelings for one another and begin dating, Olivia satisfied that she has now found her happiness. Olivia and Henry turn the thrift store around to help troubled teens and despite Colin's various attempts to sabotage the movie set in revenge, the film is still a success with Olivia being signed on for two more films though the director refuses to work with Colin due to the fact he explicitly went against his contract by not helping to market the movie.
