PLOT[]
Daniel is a paraplegic man, miserable at having to work at a dead-end job while his best friend, Kevin, celebrates making partner at a job that he managed to beat Daniel out for previously. To make matters worse, on the way out of the restaurant to celebrate, Daniel runs into his ex, Mira and her husband Pete, learning that they both have kids now like she always wanted with Daniel. While taking an Uber home from the restaurant, Daniel discovers a psychic who gives him a pocketwatch that can take him back to any point in time for 24 hours but warns him that altering the past in any way can have unforseen consequence. Daniel goes back to the day of his job interview where he takes his brother Matthew's car instead of his motorcycle (his paraplegia being a result of a motorcycle accident.) Daniel pays Kevin to go get coffee for the two of them, throwing all of Kevin's papers in the trash which results in Daniel getting the job instead. At the restaurant, Daniel proposes to a clearly-miserable Mira who agrees to marry him.
Now back in the present, Daniel is happy to see that he is married to Mira with two kids and is now the boss of the job he was previously promoted to. Outside of his job, Daniel sees that Kevin is homeless after losing out on the job and stopped caring about wanting to try for a job anymore. Mira tells Daniel that she doesn't want to be with him anymore as he puts his work over their family and the only reason she agreed to marry him is that she felt trapped because of her desire for children. Daniel then leaves to go visit Matthew, who is revealed to be paraplegic and with poor eyesight as a result of taking Daniel's motorcycle out on the day of the interview. Daniel wonders how Matthew can be so happy despite being disabled and Matthew tells him that life only changes with a disability, it doesn't end. Daniel goes back to the fortune teller, pleading with her to reverse things as making things better for himself only made things worse for his loved ones. The fortune teller gives him a new pocketwatch to go back to where things started as Daniel turns it, waking up in his bed back before his previous time travel. Now happy with his life, the episode ends with Daniel asking his interested co-worker out on a date which she happily accepts.
