PLOT[]

At first, Mrs. Ruiz is unaware that Elise was wearing a mask (to Theater Camp) and hiding her face because Callie said something unkind. However, the next day (and at dance) Callie became the reason why Elise was wearing the face mask. And she (Elise) runs to the bathroom and crying. Mrs. Ruiz becomes angry, disappointed, and puzzled when she finds out that Callie would do something like that to Elise.
