Husband Abandons Wife With Cancer (Or Husband Leaves Wife That Has Cancer) was uploaded on March 24, 2020 and is 8 minutes and 59 seconds long.

Plot[]

The episode begins with the husband, named Eric, taping a box together. His wife, Kathy, comes back and the husband is suprised to see her. She said she got done with chemo earlier that day and then asks what's up with the boxes. Her husband asks to go upstairs and talk and Kathy says to give her a sec and she throws up in the sink as Eric looks on disgusted. Kathy says she's so nauseous and that the chemo is taking the life out of her. She also says that the only good thing in her life currently is Eric. He tells her it's not the best time to tell her this.

Just then, Jess, a middle-aged woman, arrives and tells Eric that they should get going. Kathy asks what she's doing at her house and Jess says she didn't realize she was home. Eric asks if they can go in the other room to talk but Kathy says no and that he will tell her right now what's happening. Eric tells Jess to take some boxes in the car. Eric then tells his wife that he is leaving her because she's sick and he needs to worry about his own future.

Kathy asks about her and if he knows how much she's been going through. He asks if she doesn't think it's hard on him. Kathy asks about their vows, which was " For richer and poorer, in sickness and health" and what he said to her when he found out Katherine had cancer. Eric pretends to forget and it goes a flashback from 1 year ago, where Kathy looks very different from now. She says she got her test results from the lab and that she's nervous to open it. She does slowly and it says she has stage 4 breast cancer. Eric says that they are going to get through the cancer together. Kathy questions if he doesn't want her anymore. Eric says she'll never be alone and says their vows.

It goes back to the present, where Kathy says that they would be in it together. As a result, Eric replies that things change and he can't do this anymore. Eric says she'll be alone, which Eric might feel a twinge of guilt from that. He says he hopes everything works out for her while grabbing some boxes and starts to head out, but before he does he says he was thinking of a divorce, but since Eric is likely to die it doesn't seem necessary.

A Dhar Mann's voiceover says Kathy is devastated. As Eric goes on to start his new life with Jess, and now that he doesn't have to worry about Kathy anymore, he doesn't seem have a concern in the world. But then A few months later, Eric gets his test results from the lab and was opening up the letter. It turns out he has colon cancer and he couldn't believe it. Eric also has to start chemotherapy right away and his health quickly goes downhill he's also shown throwing up. As Eric deals with his sickness, Jess does the same thing Eric did to Kathy and leaves him because of that.

Then, a few years later, Eric is in a wheelchair at his hospital when he passes Kathy, who looks very different. Eric asks how Katherine survived, Katherine happily says she beat it. But Kathy kept fighting and eventually, she got better and she happily says she's cancer-free. Eric tells his story about getting diagnosed with colon cancer and says that Jess couldn't handle it and left him. And then apologizes for being so careless and Kathy accepts the apology. He asks if they can start a relationship again, and the episode ends with Kathy saying it wouldn't work out and walks away.
