"You're a pig! Never talk to me again."
Mikey getting slapped and called a pig by Dana.
Jay Gets His 1st Kiss is the second episode of the Jay and Mikey series.
Synopsis[]
Mikey bets Jay that he can't have a crush on a girl he wants him to date, but soon, things take a twist for Mikey.
Plot[]
At school, Jay and Noah are spying on Mikey talking to Dana, a girl from 8th grade. As Mikey comes back to them, he tells them disappointingly that she is going with Andrew Bowman, another guy she is in love with. As a result, Mikey then bets Jay to get a girl's number since he claimed that he has rizz whenever he goes for girls. Then, he changes the bet that he will bet him all his Doritos that he can't get a girl's Snapchat, especially Gretchen Barr's. Not long after, Jay comes back with Gretchen's Snapchat found. After he takes the bag of Doritos, he finds that it's almost empty and he tells Mikey to buy him a new one.
At lunch, Jay complains about always getting vegetables packed for his lunch. Mikey sees that he hates eating vegetables, so he bets him his pizza that he can't hold Gretchen's hand by the end of the day. As Jay obviously declines that offer, he finally accepts it as he sees the pizza slowly go in Mikey's mouth. Soon, Jay comes back and tells Mikey and Noah that he told Gretchen to meet him at the computer lab soon, while also taking all of his food. Noah tries to stop Mikey from following Jay.
At the computer lab, Jay sees cat notebooks in front of Gretchen, as she tells him her grandma got it for her not long ago. Jay also sees a Fortnite sticker on Gretchen's notebook, finding out that she is into Fortnite, as well as finding the lyrics to "Old Town Road", a song stuck in her head for what appears to be ages. As the bell rings, Jay holds Gretchen's hand and asks her if she wants to play Fortnite sometime, to which she responds by promising him to snap him her Discord.
Mikey then criticizes Jay that it does not count as holding her hand when she walks away from him as he touches her hand. Noah wants to stay out of this, as Jay and Mikey both tell him "You're no help!" Just then, Mikey notices a poster for an upcoming dance party. Mikey gives Jay another bet: he has to take Gretchen to the dance. Jay does not want to do it, so Mikey sweetens the bet a little: he can have Noah's tablet for a week, but Noah declines it as he already got his back. Then, Mikey promises to give him his tablet for a week, or two weeks, the furthest he wants to go. Mikey tells him he doesn't need to make Gretchen his girl, he just has to bring her to the dance. Jay touches Mikey's pizza, claiming it's his, and then runs off, prompting Mikey to furiously chase him.
At home, Jay plays Fortnite with Gretchen, losing to her very quickly. Gretchen notices that Jay is listening to music, and Jay tells her it's his own playlist on Spotify, with a lot of Lil Nas X music on it. Jay tells her that the playlist is called "Rizzgod124". She finds Taylor Swift on the playlist, but to Jay's surprise, Gretchen actually loves Taylor Swift. Jay admits to Gretchen that everyone makes fun of him for liking Taylor Swift. Just then, Jay gets a notification from Mikey on his phone about the dance. He asks Gretchen if he's going to the dance on Friday, and Gretchen tells him that her mom is forcing her to do so as she needs to "get out more". Jay also tries to tell that he has to go for other reasons, but then gets surprised when they get the Victory Royale. Gretchen's mom then calls her for dinner, and Jay asks her if she wants to go to the dance with him. As she thinks about it, she is called again, and she goes away, informing Jay that she will snap him later.
Jay is in his room when Mikey Facetimes him, and Jay is very excited that Gretchen said yes. Mikey questions why is he so excited, but Jay admits he is just happy he won the bet, and he tells him to just bring the tablet on Friday. Later at the dance, Jay can't decide if they're serving more James Bond or Pee-Wee Herman. Mikey comes in and tells Jay and Noah that he impressed Dana with a slow dance, and that she even liked the bow tie. Jay suspects that the bow tie is a clip-on. Mikey pranks Jay that Gretchen is behind him, but Noah suddenly notices her right off the bat in a beautiful dress. Jay talks to Gretchen and compliments her on not being too bad for a nerd, to which she is confused about, but she doesn't hesitate to dance with him to Taylor Swift. Jay, however, doesn't want to reveal his secret in front of everyone that he is a Taylor Swift fan. Mikey and Jay then argue until Mikey gives him one last bet: to get Gretchen to kiss him in front of everyone, at least on the cheek. Noah tries to inform them about something, but they continue arguing until Noah keeps informing them. Angered, Noah yells at them and turns them around to see Gretchen, who has heard the whole argument. Gretchen shows him evidence which was recorded of Jay accepting a bet from Mikey, before she walks away from him.
Jay runs after Gretchen, trying to explain what actually happened, but she keeps interrupting him that he would accept some stupid bets and amuse his friends because he is bored. As Gretchen is about to call her mom, Jay then explains that the whole thing may have started as a bet, but he actually got to know a lot about her and that his feelings for her are real. They hear the DJ in the other room sending a request for Anti-Hero and looking for the Swifties as everyone cheers. Gretchen offers him to dance to Taylor Swift and sing the lyrics as well to prove to her that he is not "that guy". Gretchen wants him to dance in the center of the dance room, not in the corner or out in the hallway, before she leaves.
Meanwhile, as the DJ is in the bathroom washing his hands, he accidentally leaves his microphone behind. Jay and Mikey enter the bathroom to argue over the bet, not knowing that the microphone is on and everyone can hear him. They soon physically fight over apologizing to Gretchen the way Jay did, but then Jay realizes that Mikey wore a clip-on bow tie. Noah enters the bathroom and tells them that everyone can hear them, before noticing the microphone behind. Enraged, Jay yells at Mikey that it's his fault, because now, not only did he hurt Gretchen's feelings, he also publicly humiliated her in front of the whole club.
Jay walks to Gretchen and tells her that he is sorry, but Gretchen actually forgives him, and to his surprise, he gets a kiss from Gretchen! Mikey couldn’t believe what just happened. Just then, Dana walks past Mikey, and Mikey asks Dana if she wants to dance with him, but she angrily interrupts Mikey by slapping him in the face and calling him a pig. Noah sits next to Dana and admires what she did back there, and claims that he likes strong women like her. He then asks her to upgrade to dance with a man like Noah. Dana accepts to dance with him. The DJ asks if anyone knows the lyrics to Anti-Hero, before Jay impresses him and Gretchen with his knowledge. Mikey walks off in dismay as he just lost his girlfriend and almost ruined Jay's date.
