KIDS RUIN Mom's JOB INTERVIEW, What Happens Will Shock You is a video by Dhar Mann. It was released on May 24, 2022.

Plot[]

The episode starts with Jay giving Mikey an ice cream bar. It's a seemingly innocent gesture, but Jay notices that Mikey's in a bad mood. Curiosity getting the better of him, Jay asks why Mikey seems down. Mikey opens up, revealing that he has a lot of things on his mind lately. This piques Jay's interest because Mikey is usually carefree and lighthearted. Mikey finally confides in Jay that his mom has an important job interview scheduled for Saturday. Jay sees it as an opportunity for Mikey's family to improve their financial situation, as his dad's salary might double if Mikey's mom gets the job. Thinking about the potential benefits, Jay's mind races with ideas of what Mikey's mom could do with the extra income, like buying Mikey the laptop he has been wanting for ages. But as Mikey continues to talk, Jay's excitement turns to shock.

Mikey drops the bombshell – if his mom gets the job, they might have to move to a different area, which means he would have to change schools. Jay's heart sinks, and he accidentally drops his ice cream bar, no longer having the appetite for it. Mikey explains that his mom only told him about the possible move that very morning. The suddenness of it all leaves Mikey feeling overwhelmed, and he shares his fear of starting over at a new school, especially the rumored John Addams middle school, which he considers "so lame" compared to their current one.

Jay is visibly upset about this. The thought of losing his best friend, whom he has known since 1st grade, is devastating. He reveals that in 2nd grade, he had a different best friend until that friend moved away, leaving Jay and Mikey to become inseparable. Jay can't bear the thought of losing another best friend. He asks Mikey if his mom knows about their friendship and the bond they share. Mikey believes his mom doesn't know the depth of their connection, as she's never seen them pulling off their legendary schemes, making them legends in their school. Recalling a time when they pretended to break their arms and got away with it, Jay and Mikey share a laugh. But the memory triggers a hidden truth – Mikey had genuinely broken his arm, while Jay had merely pretended.

Despite their laughable failures, they cherish the memories and the friendship they share. They remember the fun times, like the episodes where they skipped class together, and how they laughed through it all. Jay then reminds Mikey that the school wouldn't be the same without him. Mikey's mom, trying to boost her spirits for the upcoming interview, shares her lucky necklace and her belief that it will bring her luck. However, Jay and Mikey can't accept the possibility of Mikey changing schools, and they hatch a plan to ruin the job interview. The duo starts by having a sleepover in Saturday so that they could start the plan.

Mikey needs to switch the resume into his fake, goofy resume, and Jay is tasked with putting laxatives in her coffee machine. But their plan faces obstacles – the laxative medicine cap is hard to open, and Jay accidentally drops it while attempting to open it.

Meanwhile, Mikey sneaks into his mom's room, trying to switch the resumes. His mom is busy singing and listening to a podcast, making it an opportune time to act. Mikey quickly snatches her lucky necklace before proceeding with the resume switch. Suddenly, his mom's phone rings, and she enters the room, forcing Mikey to hide under the bed. Seeing his mom searching for her necklace, Mikey uses the distraction to throw it back to her. Successfully hiding the resume, Mikey's mom leaves the room, unaware of his presence. On the other side, Jay's efforts to tamper with the coffee machine fail, but he manages to hide it from his mom. The duo concludes that if Mikey's mom doesn't find the coffee machine, she can't leave because she won't have her coffee. Thinking their plan is foolproof, Mikey and Jay share a laugh about Jay's silly idea. They believe everything is going according to their plan. Mikey's mom then tells her son and Jay to be on their best behavior and they dishonestly agreed when they snuck in to her car sitting at the very back of the car. Before that, Mikey's mom was spitting out the coffee that Mikey made and states that this was the last time that she makes him make coffee. Then she throws the rest of it away. After that, Mikey and Jay sneaks into the car and Mikey accidentally drops his mom's lucky necklace which makes him silently scream angrily after his mom put the necklace on. Anyways, the next day the duo heads to the hospital where Mikey's mom's job interview is taking place. They face some challenges trying to sneak into the interviewer's room, but they manage to convince the receptionist that they're visiting their grandma.

The receptionist, believing their story, starts searching for Oprah Winfrey, their supposed "grandma." Meanwhile, Mikey is determined to continue with their plan, despite Jay's concern that things are getting out of hand. Mikey begins the resume switch alone, while Jay decides to leave. However, just as Mikey completes the task, the interviewer and his mom enter the room. To avoid getting caught, Mikey hides under Dr. Andrews' table, hoping to remain undetected. His mom speaks highly of West Hills Medical, expressing her enthusiasm for the job opportunity. But when Dr. Andrews reads the goofy resume, she's mortified.

The resume claims that Mikey's mom got her degree from "Poopy Pants University" and had been a space nurse for 20 years, with references from "Chewbacca" and "Superman." Mikey can't contain his laughter, but in the process, he accidentally hits his head. Mikey's mom is embarrassed and bewildered, unsure how these ridiculous details ended up on her resume. Dr. Andrews, unimpressed with the resume, expresses his disappointment, as he had heard great things about Mikey's mom from her previous hospital. The situation becomes awkward, and Mikey's mom is left feeling confused and humiliated. Dr. Andrews even kicks Mikey accidentally while he's hiding under the table, adding to the chaos.

Dr. Andrews asks if Mikey's mom knows the kid whose resume he's reading, and she confirms that he's her child. Mikey's mom then immediately knows about how the strange turn of events and how her resume got mixed up with the goofy one. She knows that her son is behind all of this. The interviewer is disappointed, and he tells her to leave, crossing out the goofy resume.

Back home, Mikey's mom decides that Mikey deserves a punishment for ruining her interview. She asks him to go to his room while she contemplates the appropriate consequences for his actions. As a result, Jay is also grounded by his parents for his involvement in the scheme. Mikey tries to explain his reasons, but his mom isn't interested in hearing excuses. She then demands to know why Mikey had to cause all this trouble.

Frustrated, Mikey breaks down and cries, sharing his true fear with his mom. He doesn't want to lose Jay, his best friend, in case they have to move. Mikey's mom finally understands the depth of his emotions and tells him it's not a dumb reason at all. She shares a quote that says:" Because you don't love them for where they're at, you love them for who they are.". Mikey apologizes for ruining her interview, but his mom still imposes consequences. Later, Jay tells Mikey his dad got the job, and they're moving to a different town, attending a new school. Mikey regrets his actions, realizing he might have ended up in the same school as Jay if he hadn't interfered.

A few weeks later, Jay opens his locker and sees some happy teenagers, reminding him of his friend, Mikey. Suddenly, he stands on a chair and shouts about Dhar Mann. Jay is shocked to see Mikey there and asks if he missed him. Mikey reveals that his mom got a second interview and got the job, making Jay happy. They declare the dynamic duo is back, and Mikey suggests spicing things up. Jay agrees, and they plan more mischief together. Since Mikey is new at the school, nobody knows about his schemes. They promise to create chaos again, laughing together as true friends. The episode ends with Jay and Mikey running off, planning another adventure.
