Plot[]
The episode opens with Mikey Miller with his best friends, Jay and Derek, who are excited for the basketball game the following day. However, this afternoon, they will be taking a history test. Mikey, who dreads studying, proposes to skip school along with Derek and Jay by forging an early dismissal note in his mother's name, claiming that they have a basketball game in the afternoon.
Derek points out that they would get caught, as the note is signed "Mom". Mikey writes another note, and signs it "Mrs. Miller" at the bottom. However, Derek refuses to join the plan, knowing that they would face severe consequences. He also recites the moral of the story to Mikey: "What happens in the dark always comes to light!". However, Jay is more than excited to join Mikey. They present the note to the school receptionist, Ms. Celey. Given their track record of dishonesty, she is skeptical (although she is unaware that Mikey and Jay are faking a sick note so they can get out of school) and even tries calling their mother. The boys manage to persuade her not to do so, claiming that she is taking part in a surgery. Ms. Celey (still unaware that Mikey and Jay are faking a sick note) signs the note and wishes the boys good luck.
At a strip mall, Mikey and Jay are relaxing and enjoying a pizza. After they finish, Mikey pulls out his iPad to play Minecraft. Just then, Jay spots Mikey's father walking towards them, holding a phone in his hand. The duo escape into a clothing store, alerting the manager in the process. The duo then successfully convince her to allow them to enter the same dressing room. Suddenly, Mikey's father makes it to the pathway and swipes the curtain open. Angry and disappointed, he scolds his son and Jay for skipping school and informs the latter's father about their actions. (He also crossed with paths with --their teacher-- Ms. Celey.) Mikey tries to explain himself. But an angry and surprised Ms. Celey shows up who reveals she became aware about Mikey and Jay's "fake sick note" scheme. Mikey asked Ms. Celey how she found them. She told him that she went to the hospital to fill her prescription and stopped by his mom (Mrs. Miller). Mr. Miller adds that his mom had no idea what Ms. Celey was talking about until Ms. Celey showed the fake sick note.
Despite Mikey trying to say it was Jay's idea, even though he warned Mikey the severe consequences if caught, "What happens in the dark always comes to light", Mr. Miller yells at them and scares them. When asked how he was able to find them, he reveals that he tracked them down using the "Find my iPad" application that he installed months ago when Mikey lost his iPad, with Jay berating Mikey realizing that Mr. Miller was tracking them. Before taking the boys home, Mr. Miller informs them that they are scheduled to take the history test the following day during the game, meaning that they are not going to be able to participate in the basketball game.
The next day, while Mikey and Jay are taking their tests, Derek walks in the classroom and announces that their team had won, meaning that they will be entering the playoffs. The boys beam in delight at this. Unfortunately, in the midst of their excitement, their fathers enter the room. And they say that they are not going to be playing in the playoffs. Jay's father (Mr. Lawson) says the only place that they're going to go is home. (That is, as he --Jay's father-- says to both Mikey and Jay, "You're right! The only place you are going, it is home!".) They informed the coach they are banned from going to the playoffs. And last but not least, they are grounded from electronics, sports, and hanging out --except school-- as punishment (for a week, a month, a year, or possibly a decade, a century, or even a millennium) for their "fake sick note" scheme.
As a result, Mikey and Jay are grounded from electronics, sports, and hanging out (except for school) for 1,000 whole years. And they can only see their friends during school hours (while grounded from it). In the spite of that, they (Mikey and Jay) comply their fathers's commands before their fathers ground them further. (That is, for 2,000 or 3,000 years --instead of 1,000-- and not just from sports, electronics, and hanging out.)

Trivia[]
- This episode marks the first and only appearance of Mr. Miller.
- This episode also marks the first time that Mikey and Jay appear in the same episode and the first time they appear with Derek.
- This video also marks the first appearances of Jay Lawson and also Derek.
Errors[]
- It is stated in the title that Mikey writes a fake sick note to skip class. However, he actually writes a fake early dismissal note.
- In the video's description at the 'Actors' section, the unnamed students number skips the number 1; It just goes to 2. This same mistake is retained in the 'Cast' section to avoid confusion with the actual video.
- Ms. Celey goes to the hospital, where she meets Mikey's mom, to fill out a prescription. This is done at a pharmacy, not a hospital.
- The store employee stops Jay and Mikey from being in the same changing booth at the same time. Seconds later, Mikey's dad opens the curtain.
- When Mrs. Celey gives Mikey and Jay the note, somehow Mrs. Celey gets it back.
- Despite being banned from hanging out by their fathers, Jay and Mikey are allowed to hang out again after this video. It's possible both of their parents decided they don't hang out again until further notice, or they decided the punishment was too harsh and decided to have them promise to not misbehave.
- Perhaps not so. Perhaps Mr. Miller and Mr. Lawson would have accidentally allowed Mikey and Jay to get away with it. (That is, even though this was not supposed to happen. Because they were grounded in the first place. So they may have ungrounded themselves.) And they (Mikey and Jay) got away with it anyhow.
Reception[]
The video was universally panned by fans, with criticism aimed towards Mr. Miller’s abusive temper towards Mikey. Viewers also hated Mr. Miller and Mr. Lawson for grounding Mikey and Jay from basketball, video games, devices and play dates believing that this can come off as rather unfair (depending on your view) since all they did was skip a test, and they have been dreaming of playing basketball. So that is basically cutting off their hopes and dreams in an unfair way. In fact, many viewers suspect that Mr. Miller's aggressive behavior and hair-trigger temper is behind Mikey’s unethical plans to cheat and to avoid tests and responsible for his divorce with Kathy, who is Mikey and Jayden's mother.
Overall, “Kid Fakes Sick Note To Skip Class” is one of , if not, the worst Dhar Mann video ever.
