"Kid LIES TO DAD For PLAYSTATION 5, What Happens Is Shocking" is a video by Dhar Mann. It was released on June 9, 2022.
Plot[]
In this plot, Leon thought the way out of doing chores (to earn the PS5) was by forcing someone else to do his chores for him. Two boys, Eric and Leon, are hanging out in Leon's room, playing a game of racing cars on a PlayStation 5 console. Eric wins, and Leon accuses his friend of cheating, before demanding a rematch. Just then, Leon's father comes into the room, and informs Eric that his father is on his way, and tells Eric to get packed up. Leon laments that this means that the PS5 will be leaving too, and asks his father to buy him a PS5.
His father tells him that he will have to get his own job, but Leon scoffs. His father then says that if he improves his grades at school, he will consider doing so. Leon replies, saying that this is an impossible task. Finally, his father offers to pay him $25 for chores, but Leon refuses, before increasing it to $50 as a final offer. Leon agrees, and goes out to mow the lawn as his first chore. He also demands a contract, similar to the one that his father offers his clients.
However, Leon gets frustrated trying to figure out how to turn on the mower. Just then, his friend, Nate, is passing by. He reveals that he too is saving up for a PS5, and that his mother is paying him $5 for each chore. Unlike Leon, Nate enjoys doing chores, and Leon offers to pay Nate $10 to do all his chores. Over the next few weeks, Leon successfully employs Nate to do all his chores, and his father becomes impressed at how responsible his son is. (Nate takes out Leon's trash, washes Leon's dishes, and mows Leon's lawn.) However, Leon's father is unaware that Leon is cheating. (That is, as he does not see Nate.)
As Leon is about to reach his goal of $1,000, he asks his father if he could finally get a PS5. His dad (unaware that Leon cheated by forcing Nate to do the chores for him so he wouldn't have to do it) reveals to him that he had already bought one as a reward for his son's hard work. (Leon's father is unaware that Leon cheated.) Not knowing that Leon cheated, Leon's father reveals he bought Leon the PS5. (Leon's father bought the PS5 --for Leon-- for $1,000. That is, the $1,000 that Leon earned for doing his chores. However, that status is unaware that Nate was helping Leon, even though Leon was supposed to do his chores only by himself.) And he (proudly) tells Leon to "have fun".
Leon's father is still unaware that Leon cheated. That is, until there is a knock at the door. Leon's father opens the door to see Nate and his mother standing there. Meanwhile, Leon's ruse is discovered when Nate's mother crosses paths with Leon's father. And she (Nate's mother) stops by Leon's dad and she thanks him for paying her son to perform chores, and helping Nate save up for his PS5. (Leon's ruse of forcing Nate to do his chores for him is discovered. That is, when Leon's father crosses paths with Nate's mother.) Leon's father becomes confused. As Leon tiptoes by with carrying his PS5, his father questions him on everything.
Leon forced Nate to do his (Leon's) chores. So Nate told his mother. Nate told his mother, followed by Nate's mother who told Leon's father, and followed by Leon's father who chewed Leon out for cheating. Leon explains that Nate had helped him out on a few things. But Nate's mother says to Leon's dad that when Leon forced Nate (her son) to do his (Leon's) chores for him, Nate was doing everything by himself. (That is, so Leon would not have to do his chores.) She --Nate's mother-- also states that Leon had his (Leon's)/the chores completed and he (Leon) would have earned the PS5 if he forced Nate to do his (Leon's) chores for him. (What Nate's mother states is true. Leon got his chores completed and would have earned the PS5. That is, if he forced Nate to do his chores for him so he --Leon-- wouldn't have to do them.)
Leon's father now knows that Leon cheated. That is, after he (Leon's father) crosses paths with Nate's mother at the front door. Then he (Leon's father) proceeds to ask Nate about the chores he had done. Nate reveals that he did all the chores that Leon was supposed to do. Angered by his son's deceitfulness, Leon's father takes the PS5 and orders his son to grab the contract. When Leon brings the contract, his father asks him what the small print says. And Leon reads the small print.
When Leon reads the small print (as his father asks), the small print on the contract said that the chores were supposed to be completed by just Leon and nobody other than Leon himself. (That is, as the print says, "ALL CHORES MUST BE COMPLETED BY LEON AND LEON ONLY!".) Leon's dad (after Leon reads the contract) says, "You're right! And because you did not do your chores, you did not earn the PS5!". True to Leon's dad's saying, Leon did not perform any chores. And so, he did not earn the PS5. (Instead of doing the chores, Leon forced Nate to do the chores for him so he --Leon-- would not have to do it.) Leon protests, but his father reprimands him for having used Nate to perform all his chores, before reminding him of something he always says, "Do things --chores/tasks-- the right way! Not the easy way!".
Leon apologizes and asks for his PS5 back. However, his father refuses and decides to give the PS5 to Nate instead. Nate and his mother are overjoyed, and initially refuse. Then Leon's father insists, not only to reward Nate for his hard work, but also to teach Leon a lesson. Because of this, he offers Nate's mother to have Leon do all of Nate's chores for two days. Leon objects, but his father threatens to make him --Leon-- do all of Nate's chores for one, two, or three weeks (and possibly for a month, a year, a decade, a century, or even a millennium) instead of two days. That is, if Leon continues to act this way. (Leon is forced to not only do his own chores over again. He is also forced to do Nate's chores for two days. That is, including washing Nate's dishes, taking out Nate's trash, and mowing Nate's lawn.)
Although this is not heard onscreen, as Leon is doing Nate's chores (including washing Nate's dishes, taking out Nate's trash, and mowing Nate's lawn) Leon's mother states to Leon's father that she thinks if Leon cheats again, Leon would be started on a disciplinary. That is, and not just writing (writing apologies) and doing Nate's extra chores. That is, to which Leon's father truly agrees with. (This happens, as Leon is doing the "two days of Nate's chores" punishment.)
Nate was forced to redo his own chores all by himself. And not only that, he was also forced to do Nate's chores for two days. Finally, Nate's mother invites both Leon and his father over to her house for a spaghetti dinner and a special dessert (for dessert). That is, to which Leon's father gladly accepts. For two days, Leon is assigned --by his father-- to do Nate's chores afterwards (including washing Nate's dishes, taking out Nate's trash, and mowing Nate's lawn). That is, while Nate is enjoying his new PS5. (Leon is forced to do Nate's chores for two days. He is forced to wash Nate's dishes, take out Nate's trash, and mow Nate's lawn.) However, Leon may get back the PS5 if he does all of Nate's chores by himself.

Trivia[]
- It is unknown whether Leon got back the PS5 for doing Nate's chores.
- However, the last paragraph (shown in the plot) should not have been true. Since all the chores were to be completed by just Leon and nobody other than Leon himself, Leon --even if he does do Nate's chores (and does them perfectly) for two days-- instead would have been forced to face further punishment (in addition to doing Nate's chores for two days). He also would have been grounded for the rest of the summer too. And he would get no PS5 ever again.
- And by extension, his father would spank/beat Leon if he ever caught Leon playing a PS5 of friends.

Allusions[]
Errors[]
- It would be unlikely that Nate would be able to hook up a PS5 on an CRT TV.
- But in the spite of that, Leon (because he made Nate do all the chores for him so he --Leon-- could foolishly get the PS5) is still grounded for the rest of the summer. And while grounded from basketball, PS5 and other electronics, and hanging out with Eric and Nate for the rest of the summer (except for school and dessert after meals), he can only leave the house to go to school. That is, and he can only see his friends during school hours.
