Kid WON'T SHOW MOM Report Card, What Happens Is Shocking is an episode released by Dhar Mann. It premiered on October 11, 2021, the 15th birthday of Sophiee Gabriella and the 8th birthday of Skylar Smith.
Plot[]
The video begins when Alicia, Benny and Jay's classmate, is handing out invitations for her birthday party tomorrow. Mr. Johnson was handing out everyone's report cards. When Jay got straight A's, he was very excited. When Benny opened his, he got Cs and Ds and was pretty upset. At this, Jay then warned his brother that their mom won't be happy about it.
After everyone's report cards were given, Mr. Johnson told the class that they must be signed by a parent and must be returned by tomorrow. Benny thinks that is so dumb when they walk out of the class. Just then, Alicia walked by and asked Benny if he had any plans after school. Benny looked at her shirt and said that he had to go skateboarding with his friends. She asked him if he could do tricks, but he said he could do better stuff than that. Benny asked what she was talking about for the weekend. She said that she was going to have her birthday party at the virtual reality place. She hands the invitation and told him to bring Jay.
Jay warns Benny, "What happens in the dark always comes to light." Benny brushes it off, and Jay doubts Benny's chances of going to the party. At home, Benny was in his bedroom holding a check. He was copying the signature on his report card. Jay walked inside and made Benny mess up. Just then, Mrs. Collins came into the room. Benny hid his report card under the sheets. She was proud of Jay for getting straight A's and signed it as usual. Since he did well, he got a new tablet and went to his room to set it up.
Benny tells his mom that he hasn't received his report card. Then, he asks if he can go to Alicia's party, but Mrs. Collins says he can't go if his grades aren't good. Otherwise, she doesn't see why not. Benny says that she doesn't have to worry about it and thanks her, but on her way to make dinner, she finds a check in Benny's bedroom. She asks Benny about it, but he blames it on the dog, Max. Then, the mother takes Max outside.
The video then cuts to the classroom again and everyone is in line to hand in signed report cards. Mr. Johnson wishes Alicia a happy birthday since it was that day, then Jay and Benny hand in their report cards. When Mr. Johnson looks at Benny's, he asks why it's different. Benny comes up with a lie that his dog was jumping on his mom as she was signing it. Mr. Johnson questioned him at first, then it made sense to him. When Benny sat down at his desk, Alicia told him that she told her friends about how good he is at skateboarding and they want to see him do some tricks. Benny said it's not a problem.
Then, the party gets started outside of the Virtual Reality Gaming Center. Because of this, Benny doesn't want Jay or his mom to come out, but they still come anyway. Benny says, "he will get embarrassed by talking to Mr. Johnson." After greeting Benny's family, Mr. Johnson says his son Brian was invited and was dropping him off. Then, he asks Benny's mom about the car's gas mileage because he was thinking about getting an SUV. The mom says that it does get decent gas mileage. Alicia's mom greets the adults and tells them to fill out liability forms so that the kids are allowed to play with the stuff inside the Virtual Reality Gaming Center. The mom and Mr. Johnson say that it is fine, then she grabs them.
While waiting for the forms, Mr. Johnson brings up the dog the family has. The mom says that Benny has been acting funny lately. While the adults are talking, Benny threatens Jay to distract their mother out of fear that she will ask Mr. Johnson about the report card. Jay asks his mother a question while Alicia greets and compliments Benny for his clothes, and then asks about the skateboard. Benny forgot his, but Taylor, a friend of Alicia, has one that Benny can borrow.
Alicia's mom returns to Jay and the adults with the liability forms. Since Mr. Johnson likes to read everything on a form first, he needed a minute for his signature. Mr. Johnson asks the mom to sign first, but says she'll wait. Alicia's mom instructs them to bring them in when they have finished signing. On her mom's way in, she tells Alicia not to wait outside too long; more of her friends are in there waiting. Alicia asks about the tricks, then Benny attempts, but fails miserably, embarrassing himself in front of Alicia and her friends. Benny had lied to impress her, but admitted that he had exaggerated. The girls failed to fall for his lies, and Taylor took her skateboard back.
Then, Mr. Johnson had just finished signing the liability form for Brian. When he passed the pen to Benny and Jay's mom, Mr. Johnson is astounded by the fact that her signature looked better without the dog jumping on her. At first, she was confused, but Mr. Johnson explained that he said that when he handed him the report card, after comparing the signature on Jay's card to Benny's card's signature. To make matters worse for Benny, she put two and two together and reprimanded Benny that he said he didn't get the report card. Benny was trying to think of another lie, but his mom angrily cut him off and asked, "Lied to me? And then forged my signature?"
Benny attempts to explain, but his mother refuses to hear anything else, then said that she was sick and tired of Benny lying, and reiterated Jay's point that what happens in the dark always comes to light. Benny apologizes, but his mother told him, "Oh, you're gonna be sorry, all right." She then orders Benny to get back into the car; he is not allowed to go to the party or anywhere else for that matter, because he is grounded. Despite this, Benny didn't like hearing this, and tried to get out of it, but she was just not having it. He eventually got into the car to wait. It is unknown how long he was grounded for.
The mom then apologizes to Mr. Johnson, and says that wasn't her signature and she never received his report card. Mr. Johnson regrets not trusting his gut, and says he'll have a copy sent to her on the following Monday after the party. The mom thanks him and adds, "And don't worry. I will make sure he gets the punishment he deserves." Afterwards, Mr. Johnson replied that he had no doubt about it; he wishes Jay and his mom a great weekend, then leaves.
Jay asks his mom if Benny's blunder means he has to leave the party too, but his mom assures him he is allowed to stay and have fun at the Virtual Reality Gaming Center. Jay thanks her and goes to hand Alicia the gift bag. He then asks to see Taylor's skateboard, and shows off some tricks. Alicia is amazed and wants Jay to teach her some tricks; Alicia and Jay then head inside, followed by Taylor and Alicia's other friend. Lastly, it cuts to Benny and the mom in the car, ending with Benny shaking his head in defeat.

Trivia[]
- This video is an example of a Catch-22. Benny Collins' plan of forgery was clearly worth the try, since he would still have been grounded if he were honest, meaning there was clearly no point in being honest. Because of this, Benny likely did not regret his decision or learn his lesson at all.
- The story emphasizes the importance of honesty and integrity. Both Jay and the mother mention the moral that "what happens in the dark always comes to light," highlighting the consequences of lying and deception.
- The story incorporates the concept of a virtual reality gaming center, which adds a modern and technological element to the plot, showcasing how such venues can be used for birthday parties.
- Ironically, despite identifying as a skater girl, Alicia apparently does not know how to skate.
Errors[]
- There is a discrepancy in the timing of when the report cards are handed out. Initially, it seems like the report cards are given to the students before Alicia invites Benny to her party. However, later in the story, it's revealed that Benny hasn't received his report card yet when he talks to his mom about Alicia's party. This inconsistency should be addressed for a smoother narrative.
- The story leaves Benny's punishment and its duration ambiguous. It's mentioned that Benny is grounded, but the length of his grounding is not specified. Providing clarity on this aspect would enhance the story's completeness.
- Mr. Johnson's reaction to the forged signature on Benny's report card seems quite lenient. He merely comments on how the mother's signature looks better without the dog jumping on her. Given the gravity of the situation, a stronger reaction from the teacher might be expected, such as notifying the school administration or discussing the issue with Benny's parents.
- It's mentioned that Alicia's friends are not convinced by Benny's lies and that Taylor takes her skateboard back. However, the story doesn't provide any specific interactions or dialogues between Benny and Alicia's friends. Adding more details about these interactions would make the story more engaging.
- When Mr. Johnson mentions that Brian was invited to Alicia's party, it's not clear whether Brian is Jay's friend or if he's related to Mr. Johnson in some way. Clarifying their relationship would help readers understand the context better.
- The story doesn't delve into the mother's emotional reaction when she discovers Benny's lies and forgery. Adding some description of her emotions or thoughts would provide a deeper insight into her character.
- After Benny fails at the skateboard tricks and admits to exaggerating, Alicia's reaction is not explored in detail. It would be interesting to see how she responds to Benny's honesty or whether she still considers him a friend.
- Taylor's role in the story is somewhat unclear. She lends Benny her skateboard, but her character isn't developed further. Including more information about her or her interactions with other characters could enhance the story.
