Dharmann Wiki

Plot[]

Three pre-teen girls, Ari and Marlee Williams, along with their friend Lana, pass by an old house in the neighborhood. The house was formerly occupied by an elderly woman named Mrs. Wiggins, who passed away years ago. Ari recounts a legend about Mrs. Wiggins, that she was constantly made fun of by a few kids, and was weeping all the time as a result. One day, those kids entered her home and never came back out. The legend says that to this day, one can hear Mrs. Wiggins weeping as they pass by the house. This scares both Marlee, Ari's young sister, as well as their friend, Lana. Ari attempts to enter the Wiggins House, but unfortunately for her, it is locked.

Back home, Ari sneaks into her mother's office. Determined to gain access to the Wiggins House, she finds a file for the home, which contains the lock box code. She takes the file and hides it in her sock drawer, before coming up with the plot to sneak into the Wiggins House with Marlee and Lana. Marlee is reluctant, but Ari threatens to tell their mother that her younger sister has a crush on Brian should Marlee refuse to go along with the plan. Marlee then warns her sister about what their mother always says, that what happens in the dark, always comes to light.

The following day, Ari puts her plan into action. She informs her mother that she and Marlee will be spending the night at Lana's home, where Lana's grandfather will be watching them. They plan on having an indoor camping sleepover, with flashlights, tents, and everything. Ari successfully leads Marlee and Lana to break into the Wiggins House that evening. There, Ari excitedly explores the place with the other two, carrying only their flashlights. However, they are confronted with random loud noises that occur periodically, scaring both Marlee and Lana.

The trio proceeds to visit Mrs. Wiggins' room. They find a spell book, in addition to several other artifacts that had been sitting there for a long time. Suddenly, they hear the sound of a woman weeping, and the trio screams in terror. They attempt to open the bedroom door. However, it is stuck, making Ari realize that someone else is in the house. After several tries, the trio opens the door and flees downstairs. Unfortunately, Ari is unable to find the keys to the door. Just then, they hear the sound of a woman weeping, before seeing a veil-covered woman coming out from the kitchen, who is supposedly Mrs. Wiggins.

The girls scream in terror and make a dash for the front door. The girls make several attempts to open it, to no avail. Thinking that they are about to get killed, Ari apologizes to Marlee and Lana, before begging Mrs. Wiggins for mercy. The girls scream in fright, just as the woman says, "You're all in a lot of trouble!"

The woman takes off her veil, and it turns out, she is none other than the mother of Ari and Marlee, Mrs. Williams. She reveals that she was supposed to show the Wiggins House to a famous client the following day, and she was unable to find the file for the house. However, while putting away Ari's socks, she found the Wiggins file in her sock drawer, prompting her to call Lana's grandfather, who told her that the girls were not with him. Remembering the camping equipment, Mrs. Williams realized at that moment that the girls had sneaked off to the Wiggins House. Thus, she decided to drive there as well to play a few tricks on them.

As punishment for their actions, Ari and Marlee are both grounded. The client that will be visiting the house tomorrow is none other than Mr. Nightmare, their favorite Youtuber. Unfortunately, as punishment for lying and sneaking out, neither Ari nor her sister are allowed to join their mother tomorrow. Their mother then repeats the moral of the story, "What happens in the dark, always comes to light."

As they leave the house, Lana asks Mrs. Williams if Mrs. Wiggins' house is really haunted. She dismisses the ghost stories as myths, but decides that she could dress up as Mrs. Wiggins the following day and scare Mr. Nightmare. Once they left, you can see a dark figure turning off the lights when it just blunk a few times before going completely dark.
