Plot[]
Nick is reluctant to give money to a homeless woman Lisa and adopt a dog that he found on the street too. However, Nick's wife Ellie takes initiative to do both, and insists that Nick should be more like her as well. Shortly after they adopt the dog, the cops come to Nick and Ellie's house to reveal that Ellie just passed away after an unexpected car accident. Nick, then devastated, attends Ellie's funeral and makes it his goal in life to do everything that Ellie wanted him to do. Nick decides to be kind to everybody, including helping Lisa and apologizing for previously treating her poorly. Nick also tells Lisa about Ellie's recent death, to which Lisa responds that she is very sorry for Nick's loss. Nick also finds the owner of the dog and attempts to give it back to her, but the dog owner tells Nick that it is best that he keep it instead after how kind he has been to everybody now. Nick then says that he wouldn't have drastically improved his personality if it weren't for Ellie, and claims that he was very lucky to have been married to Ellie for that reason.
