13-Year-Old Robs Church For Vision Pro (formerly titled Teen Caught Taking Cash From Church) is a video uploaded by Dhar Mann and the second episode of Mischief Mikey. It aired on September 14, 2023.
This is the first video that Mikey finally changed to become a better person.
Synopsis[]
Mikey steals money from a church to buy the Vision Pro he always wanted, only to have a change of heart and help capture the real thief. When he finds out who did it, he lives up to regret it.
Plot[]
Chapter 1: Attempted Robbery[]
One week after Mikey stole from the safe deposit box, the Miller Family is at church listening to Pastor McDaniels. Meanwhile, Mikey was playing Roblox on Jayden’s iPad before his mother, Kathy snatches it away, taking it to the car.
Jayden then reprimands his brother about getting his iPad taking away. Mikey tells him at least he has his Vision Pro (that their mom bought for Jayden after Mikey was arrested). When the offering box comes around, Mikey refuses to give any, stating that the church should be paying him to be there. Then, Mikey has a look on his face which his brother notices and says, "Don't even think about it." Jayden had sensed that Mikey was about to steal. Mikey replied that if he cannot have his brother’s Vision Pro, he will find another way to buy his own as he was about to steal the money. An outraged Kathy returns and slaps her son's hand as she snatches it away from him, reprimanding him for stealing. She proceeds to put $10 in the box and hands it to Pastor McDaniels. The pastor encourages her to give more, and she puts an extra $10 in the box as Pastor McDaniels smiles and leaves.
Chapter 2: The 2nd Plan[]
We then see Mikey counting how many days it will take him to get enough money for the vision pro if he steals $100 from there every Sunday and he tells Jayden that it will take him 35 weeks to get enough money for the vision pro. Kathy then gets into his room and tells him that she's gonna make him volunteer for the church now as punishment for robbing the bank. Mikey first declines, but then says yes after realizing he can steal money from the church while he volunteers there. While volunteering, he encounters Treasurer Joe, who takes the cash box back to his office for safekeeping. The reason, he explains, is because of a recent theft in which large amounts of church money has been stolen. While Joe takes the cash box back to his office, Mikey follows him, eventually sneaking his way into the Treasurer's Office.
After he snatches a wad of cash, enough to buy the Vision Pro, the doorknob turns and Mikey quickly hides under the desk. The person who enters is wearing gloves, and steals a large amount of cash from the box, stuffing it into a box that outwardly resembles a Bible. Mikey uses his phone to take a picture of the shoes the thief is wearing. He walks off, leaving Mikey to sigh in relief.
Chapter 3: A Change of Heart[]
When Mikey leaves, he overhears Pastor McDaniels talking to an elderly woman, Mrs. Jones, whose grandson, Timmy, has leukemia. It turns out, the money is going to pay for his treatments. The pastor informs the elderly woman about the recent theft in the church. Mikey feels guilty, and runs back to the Treasurer's Office to return the cash that he stole. There, he finds that the cash box has been completely empty; the thief had taken the remaining cash. Just then, Treasurer Joe enters, and catches Mikey, instantly accusing him of being the thief.
Mikey admits guilt, before telling Joe that he had a change of heart and was going to return the $3,500 he stole. He informs Joe that there is another thief, because the original amount of money was $10,000, while Mikey only had $3,500 on him. The pastor then stops by, and Joe informs him about everything, and states that Kathy should be told about what happened. This prompts Pastor McDaniels to drag Mikey in front of the congregation in order to publicly expose him as the monetary thief. After Mikey leaves, Treasurer Joe gets an idea and chuckles mischievously.
In front of the congregation (and Kathy and Jayden), Pastor McDaniels harshly condemns Mikey for his behavior while at the same time, lies to the congregation. Treasurer Joe plays along with Pastor McDaniels in accusing Mikey and then says that the money in the cash box was fake, and that the real money was hidden in the red envelope.
Chapter 4: Catching the Thief[]
Pastor McDaniels then leaves the pulpit, as the police had been called and had come to arrest the thief. Kathy and Jayden are infuriated, with Kathy sadly/uncaringly calling her son a "low-life criminal" while Jayden shakes his head disapprovingly at his brother. However, Treasurer Joe then rebukes this, believing that Mikey might actually be a "hero". Confusing the family.
When Joe and Mikey make their way to the Treasurer's Office along with the policeman, they encounter an excited Pastor McDaniels digging through the red envelope rather than meeting with the police like he said he was going to. It is then that Joe reveals that the red envelope is a fake, and that the cash in the cash box was indeed the real deal. He now suspects that Pastor McDaniels is the thief, as the pastor was supposed to be "meeting with the police." The red envelope in Joe's speech was actually a trap just to help them catch the real thief, and Pastor McDaniels fell right into the trap.
The pastor gets defensive, saying that he would never steal from his own congregation and even blames Treasurer Joe for the theft. The policeman concurs with the pastor, given the lack of evidence. But Mikey then realizes that the shoes on the flyer for the fundraiser for Mrs. Jones' grandson are the same shoes that the pastor is wearing. He also reveals to everyone the photo that he took on his phone during the theft, and that the thief was wearing the same red shoes as Pastor McDaniels. This, however, is still not enough evidence. The policeman reiterates that unless there is concrete evidence, there is nothing that can be done. Just as Pastor McDaniels prepares to leave and preach the sermon, Mikey realizes that the pastor is carrying the same Bible in which he stuffed the stolen cash earlier on. He opens the box, showing it to Treasurer Joe and the policeman. Knowing that he has been busted, Pastor McDaniels grabs the box back and attempts to flee, but is tripped by Jayden, who is waiting outside the office alongside his mother. Pastor McDaniels falls over and drops his Bible. Treasurer Joe affirms that the cash inside the Bible-shaped box is indeed the stolen cash. He credits Mikey for helping them catch the thief while Kathy and Jayden look on in bewilderment, realizing Mikey was indeed telling the truth.
Chapter 5: Has Mikey Changed?[]
While Pastor McDaniels is being led away in handcuffs, the congregation looks on in shock realizing Pastor McDaniels lied to them about Mikey being the real thief. Treasurer Joe then steps in front of the pulpit with the Millers joining him, Joe then apologizes to Mikey for his accusations and praising Mikey for helping catch the monetary thief, Pastor McDaniels.
Mikey serves as an example for how people can change, and despite his earlier mistakes, Mikey did indeed change for the better. Joe then allows Mikey to make a statement, and Mikey affirms what the pastor had said earlier, that the truth always comes out. Before he is taken away, Pastor McDaniels vows revenge and tells Mikey he will pay for foiling his plans. Mikey then orders the policeman to take the angry pastor away.
Once the doors close, Kathy, who feels bad about the "low-life criminal" insult, then takes back what she said and states she is proud of Mikey for helping but is still mad at him for stealing from the church and Jayden praises Mikey for telling the truth and explains that church is "paying off" on Mikey. To reward Mikey for his honesty and getting Pastor McDaniels arrested, Treasurer Joe pays him $3,500 for the new Vision Pro, which Mikey excitedly accepts much to his mother's dismay. But then, seeing Mrs. Jones' ill grandson, Mikey hands his reward money to Mrs. Jones to help pay for her grandson's medical treatments. At that moment, Kathy is touched, believing that her son has indeed turned over a new leaf and isn't the "low-life criminal" she mistakened him for, and she is super proud that Mikey finally changed to become a better person. However, Jayden is more skeptical, remarking, "We will see."
