"You have crossed the line, Lawson!"
Sergeant Stokes, referring to Jay Lawson
Mom Sends BAD KID To MILITARY SCHOOL, What Happens Is Shocking is a Dhar Mann episode that was released on November 25, 2022.
Plot[]
Jay Lawson is sitting in his room with his friend, Eddie, playing video games and eating chips. His mother comes in and informs him that dinner will soon be ready, before reprimanding him for eating chips just before dinner, and having ignored her command to clean his room a few days ago. She reminds him to be on his best behavior, as Brian (her boyfriend) will be coming over, and warns him against playing pranks or he will face severe consequences.
After his mother walks away, Jay dismisses his mother's threats as bluffs. Eddie, however, tells him the story of another boy, Marco who was sent to Eastpoint because of his behavior. However, Marco found the experience to be rather pleasant, being free from parental rules and controls, and being able to stay up, play video games, and go on trips on weekends. Jay remarks that it sounds like Heaven compared to living with his mother. He expresses his longing to leave his mother's home and live elsewhere.
At dinner, Brian is impressed with Mrs. Lawson's cooking. He offers to take Jay to see the Lakers, as he too is a sports fan. Jay responds that he is busy, before his mother orders him to grab the cheesecake from the fridge. While nobody is looking, Jay pours some hot sauce onto the slice he gives to Brian, who eats a few bites before calling out that his mouth is on fire, and drinks some water. Jay's mother realizes what her son had done, and proceeds to reprimand him for his immaturity and disrespectful behavior. Jay dismisses her criticism, and writes off his actions as no big deal. He asks how long he will be grounded for, before his mother informs him that he will be sent to Eastpoint to reform his behavior, stating that she is fed up with trying to discipline his son. Hearing this, Jay becomes excited and quickly packs his bags.
Upon arriving at Eastpoint, Jay pulls out his radio and begins a dance party. All the boys join, before Sergeant Stokes comes over and turns the radio off, ordering Jay to perform 20 push-ups. The boys then go to sleep, and the next morning, everyone is up and dressed in uniform by 6:00 AM, except for Jay. Sergeant Stokes orders one of the others to give him his horn, which he blasts, startling Jay. He learns the new rule that all cadets must be up and in uniform at 6:00 AM, and as punishment, assigns Jay to latrine duty, which means cleaning the restrooms. While Jay performs his duties, he calls Eddie, and asks about what he had said earlier about Eastpoint supposedly being a paradise. Eddie corrects himself, saying that he meant East Hills Academy, before warning Jay about the fact that Eastpoint Academy has a place called "the hole".
Jay decides to play a prank by wrapping saran wrap around the urinal in the men's staff bathroom. This earns him the anger of Sergeant Stokes. He then prepares to give Jay a severe punishment, before a female teacher intervenes and requests leniency. She suggests Mess Hall Duty as a punishment. It turns out, Mess Hall Duty is none other than serving lunch. While he serves lunch, he laments to his friend about Stokes' harshness. His friend informs him about Crazy Jerry, a boy who was once like Jay, but got sent to "the hole" as a punishment, which is nothing other than solitary confinement. Jay prepares to bring down Stokes, ignoring the warnings of his new friend.
He begins by spiking Stokes' water bottle with a sleeping pill, causing him to feel drowsy and take a nap. After Stokes goes to sleep, Jay and his friend enter Stokes' room (the War Room), where Jay plants several booby traps. When Stokes wakes up, he steps barefoot into some sticky syrup on the floor, and soon runs into a tripwire which causes syrup to be poured onto his head. After grabbing some towels to wipe up the mess, feathers that were hidden under the towels fly and stick to his face and feet. When he exits his room, he is splattered in the face by a pie, covering his face with cream. Enraged, he finds Jay and takes him to face punishment in "the hole", despite the desperate pleas of the boy.
Minutes later, however, Jay's mother enters the room. Jay is overjoyed to see his mother once again, and asks to be taken back home. She agrees, and reminds him of what she tried telling him earlier, "Be careful what you wish for, because the grass is not always greener on the other side."
A few days later, Jay's mother walks into his room, and is impressed with the fact that his room is cleaned, and the fact that he is sending some comic books to his friend at Eastpoint. Jay has also become a legend at the school for his prank on Sergeant Stokes. His mother is impressed at the fact that Jay has matured considerably. However, she is then horrified to see that he had put saran wrap on the toilet seat. The episode then concludes.

Trivia[]
- Sergeant Stoke’s character was based off of a mixture of Veteran Actor Jack Nicholson who was well known for his iconic roles especially Jack Torrance from The Shining (1980) and Colonel Nathan Jessup from A Few Good Men (1992) along with late drill sergeant actor R Lee Ermey as Gunnery Sergeant Hartman from Full Metal Jacket (1987) in terms of physical appearance, character, and personality.
- Jay rigging Sergeant Stokes' bedroom with booby traps is similar to when the protagonists in the "Home Alone" film series do the same to their houses. However, Jay does it as a prank while the "Home Alone" protagonists do it to defend their houses.
- The booby trap in which Sergeant Stokes has feathers blown onto him by a fan is similar to that in the first film, in which the same happens to Harry.
- This marks the first time that reveals Jay has a friend named Eddie, not to be confused with Eddie Valentino.
Allusions[]
- Jay calls one of the students Squidward.
Errors[]
- It would have taken at least one hour, which is longer than a few seconds for Sergeant Stokes to feel sleepy after taking the sleep aid.
- Sergeant Stokes should have felt the sleeping pills in his mouth after drinking from his bottle.
- Several of the BTS people are uncredited.
