Plot[]
In the 1950s, an African-American man named Jerome Bryant with aspirations to be a banker enters into a lucrative real estate partnership with a realtor named Shane Leclaire in order to help fill out vacant whites-only homes with African-American tenants. When Shane passes away from an undescribed illness, Jerome is put at odds with Shane's widow, Heidi, who refuses to continue her late husband's partnership with Jerome due to bigotry and instead wants to buy out Jerome's shares of the business.
