Plot[]
The episode begins with Ana giving her workaholic father, Walter, a letter from Santa about what she wants for Christmas which he stuffs into his laptop bag while he is busy working on a contract. When she wants him to help her put a star onto the top of tree, Walter refuses since he is busy working, which hurts her feelings. Walter's wife then tries to talk to him to get him to spend time with her but says that he's done enough buying her the most expensive tree and leaves to go in the other room to do his work. At dinner, the family is preparing to eat when Walter gets a call from his boss Chris. Despite their pleas for him to have dinner together, he takes the call and argues that he is the one paying for all this food.
The next day, Walter refuses to stay to watch Ana open her gifts, choosing to go to work while exposing that he is the one who bought Ana's expensive gifts and Santa isn't real. Ana says she knows Santa isn't real as he didn't get her the gift she truly wanted while the wife reminds Walter that Christmas isn't about spending money but spending time with loved ones. While sitting in the back of an Uber, he finds the letter that Ana had handed him at the beginning of the episode. It is revealed that what she truly wants for Christmas is to spend time with her father as now that he took his new job, he never seems to have any time for her. Feeling remorseful for his actions, he turns around and goes home to spend time with his family, ignoring a call from his boss and echoing the words his wife has told him earlier. The episode ends with Ana thanking the Santa figurine sitting nearby, which winks at her.
