Plot[]
One day, Kirsten, a new student with an emo appearance, enters the classroom, having just transferred to a different school. Another student with red hair named Rose sees her and turns to two girls, presumably her friends, gossiping to them about how she looks creepy and ugly. When Mrs. Savage notices Kirsten, she is stunned by her look and reprimands her for wearing such an outfit. Kirsten tries telling Mrs. Savage that she needs to know Kirsten first before she judges.
Kirsten sits in her seat and meets a guy named AJ. Rose, behind her, proceeds to insult her in a way that makes most of the class laugh. Mrs. Savage then shares an announcement with the class that they are given a task to solve a math problem by determining the value of X, to which they get two movie tickets and dinner at Giovanni's restaurant as a reward. Rose and AJ try to solve the problem right out of the blue, but they both get incorrect answers. In the meantime, Kirsten is bullied again by the two other girls, and Mrs. Savage tries to silence the class who is laughing.
In the cafeteria, Kirsten is sitting at her table trying to solve the problem. Rose, AJ, and the two girls walk up behind Kirsten, and Rose attempts to get rid of Kirsten by telling her to move somewhere else. Just then, Rose notices Kirsten's math notebook and throws it in the trash, believing that what she saw was utter nonsense. At this, Kirsten takes her notebook out of the trash and sits alone at another table, sadly writing in her notebook.

Later that day, Mrs. Savage has received a report from Principal Brown that a student named Abel has been arrested for having been spotted with illegal substances in his locker. Kirsten exits the school building and walks home, only to run into Rose and her friends in a car. Rose yells out to Kirsten that she is weird for not having a ride, resulting in Kirsten furiously running away in an attempt to distance herself any further from Rose.
The next day at school, Rose and her friends are in the bathroom applying makeup while also gossiping about Kirsten. Not long after, she pulls out a bottle of pills claiming that she got them from the local pharmacy and that she is keeping more of them in the locker, but her friends are reluctant to her offer of taking one pill. Just then, Kirsten exits the stall and runs into Rose, seeing the pills in her hand, but Rose threatens her not to accuse her of anything, or else she will meet a bad end. Mrs. Savage enters the restroom and offers to talk to Kirsten. As they are talking, Rose covertly hides the drugs in Kirsten's backpack in order for her to not get caught as the kingpin.
In class, everyone is assigned to show how they solved yesterday's problem. Mrs. Savage picks on Rose, who complacently replies with "-1 over 12" (which is what Kirsten's answer was). Kirsten immediately gets up and reports to Mrs. Savage that Rose stole her answer in the cafeteria the other day, to which Mrs. Savage reprimands her for accusing Rose of such a thing. When Mrs. Savage hears a claim from Rose that Kirsten is selling drugs, she gets even angrier, to which she thinks that Kirsten is trying to get the other students to become druggies too. Mrs. Savage decides to check the two's backpacks. She finds nothing in Rose's backpack, but finds the bottle in Kirsten's backpack. When she tries to send her to the principal's office, she accidentally gets her hand cut by Kirsten's bracelets. Kirsten reveals to Mrs. Savage that she actually has scars on her wrists, to which she then proceeds to tell her life story.
When Kirsten was a little girl, she loved to read and learn, but it distracted her because she couldn't get over her parents fighting and quarreling all the time. The last few months, they fought over who got the last pill. This made Kirsten finally flush all the new supply of pills down the toilet to stop her parents from taking drugs, but that did not stop them from quitting their addiction. After the police found out, her parents got arrested and she ended up in child protective services. She finally reveals to Mrs. Savage that her mother, does indeed, let her dress in that manner. Mrs. Savage, however, still believes that the drugs that she found in Kirsten's backpack, are hers. AJ suddenly informs Mrs. Savage about yesterday, where she told the class that the student who solves the problem will have to show their work. Mrs. Savage is instantly reminded and she hands out a marker to Rose so she can demonstrate how she got the answer. Rose stammers on her answer and she has no proof, meaning she obviously stole it from Kirsten. When Kirsten decides to take over, her demonstration amazes Mrs. Savage, but Rose still declines it, as none of this changes the fact that Kirsten had drugs in her backpack.
Just then, Principal Brown enters the classroom with Abel and a police officer. Abel reveals that the drugs, indeed, belong to Rose, turning out that she was the kingpin all along. Rose is ordered to grab her stuff and leave the classroom, meaning that she will now end up behind bars and get expelled from school. Mrs. Savage is shocked at what she witnessed, and she directly apologizes to Kirsten for how she treated her. Kirsten, as a reward for solving the problem (and defeating the kingpin), gets the two movie tickets. She sits back in her seat, and the two girls who bullied her apologize to her for what they have done, as well as ask her if she could help them study for an upcoming test. In addition, she also rewards AJ to join her in the movie, for sticking up for her earlier.

- Mrs Savage probably got her name because of Rose 1 in Pretty Savage from Blackpink. This could be a glitch though. It can also be intentional, because Rose 2 was in Mrs Savage's class.
